In the summer-time we go out in a sailing-boat orrowboat, and take our tea on the broads, and we havenice fun. There are little dikes (something like smalland narrow rivers) running from the broads into theland. Norfolk is very nice and hot in the summer, butin the winter it is rather cold. Our father was at the war in South Africa a littlemore than a year ago, but he s not a soldier; he is a cor-respondent and he takes photographs. He goes about lecturing now about the war, and thebeginning of last year he had a lecture nearly everynight at different places. He had some lectures atScotland last year, and we went with him. We were allborn at Scotland, but our father and mother are bothEnglish.
