Located in the garden of the Garden Route in the heart of the Tsitsikamma, Swallows Nest Country Cottages are situated in the quaint village of Storms River. We offer you a lovely peaceful and comfortable base to enjoy your holiday, surrounded by forests and mountains and the sea is a short drive away. Ideal for nature lovers and bird watchers, enjoy peaceful walks in the unspoilt Tsitsikamma Forests or Tsitsikamma National Park or do unusual activities such as the Treetop Canopy Tours, Tsitsikamma Falls Zipline, the world’s highest bungy jump off the Bloukrans Bridge, the attractions are many!

In this idyllic setting on the Garden Route, we offer very attractive and fully equipped self catering chalets, accommodating 2/3 people or up to 6 persons each. All chalets are tastefully furnished, fully equipped with a hob, microwave oven, fridge/freezer, cutlery, crockery, fans, heaters, coloured T.V.’s and each chalet has its own patio with barbeque/braai facility overlooking a scenic garden with an inviting swimming-pool. Linen and towels are supplied. Bed & Breakfast accommodation on request. We are ideally situated for all local and nearby attractions, with secure on-site parking.

Departing Addo we pass through Port Elizabeth again and then head towards the Garden Route where our first stop is at Storms River Mouth. We spend two hours there hiking and exploring.

In this stitched panoramic picture the rest camp restaurant is on the left. Just beyond and below it, out of view, is a small bay and beach from where a boardwalk starts. It makes its way through the coastal vegetation above the shoreline to the river mouth between the two headlands in the distance, where it incorporates three pedestrian suspension bridges. Two of these take hikers above the shoreline rocks and breakers, while the third crosses the river mouth where you have great views up the narrow river gorge.
