The group took many amazing wildlife pictures during their stay in Addo, sadly I didn’t have a proper camera on hand so my two Addo pictures are limited to the group looking at the scenes and animals – rather than photographs of the actual animals…

On Friday we departed for Knysna and the Garden Route, but we worked in one last game drive enroute to Addo’s southern most exit gate. In the picture we spent 15 minutes at the Spekboom ‘Hide’ (really a ‘blind’) eavesdropping on animals that came to the waterhole on the other side.

Departing Addo we pass through Port Elizabeth again and then head towards the Garden Route where our first stop is at Storms River Mouth. We spend two hours there hiking and exploring.

In this stitched panoramic picture the rest camp restaurant is on the left. Just beyond and below it, out of view, is a small bay and beach from where a boardwalk starts. It makes its way through the coastal vegetation above the shoreline to the river mouth between the two headlands in the distance, where it incorporates three pedestrian suspension bridges. Two of these take hikers above the shoreline rocks and breakers, while the third crosses the river mouth where you have great views up the narrow river gorge.
