Addo Elephant National Park is a diverse wildlife conservation park, close to Port Elizabeth in South Africa. It was originally established as a sanctuary for elephants and it is now home to almost 500 elephants.

You can drive around the park in a day, and there is a mixture of tar macadam roads and gravel roads. I comfortably drove around the park in a family car!
There is an amazing variety of wildlife in the park in addition to elephants. And you can get really close by stopping the car and let the animals walk right on by.
If you are in Port Elizabeth, Addo is well worth a visit, and is just an hour away by car.
