Thursday 24 September. Addo Elephant National Park | Hapoor Restaurant, Addo – Find Addo Accommodation.

After arriving at the Addo Elephant National Park the evening before, from Kenton-on-Sea, the group checked into their rest camp cottages and we enjoyed dinner at the camp restaurant.
Thursday was to be the group’s sole full day in the Park and thus we packed it a bit. We started off with a sunrise game drive on a safari truck. We saw various species, but could not find an elusive lion we were searching for.
Later in the morning we collected packed lunches and headed into the park in our tour coach. We took it at a leisurely pace and got out often to stretch our legs. In the picture we’re taking in the views from a view site on a little hill in the Park. At and near Hapoor Dam we saw elephant splashing in a mudhole, kudu, warthog, meerkat and more.
As if that wasn’t enough the group also departed on an evening sunset drive and found the elusive lion! An amazing day rounded off with a hearty dinner in the evening.
