I did not witness the actual rescue, but a video is available here www.heraldlive.co.za/watch-addo-rangers-saves-baby-elephant/ ). Before getting into the waterhole, the rangers had to chase away the elephants from the waterhole. After the rescue, the baby was brought to a more quiet place, in order to be reunited with the mother.
